SNOW!!!

We have had a day of snow here in Newport NC. Here are the puppies "enjoying" it:

And I couldn't resist hopping on Buttercup for our first ride ever in the snow! This is her first time ever seeing snow!

One Way and I made a miniature snow man, complete with carrot from our garden.

And then we had a good bike ride in the snow.

Here's some more video of puppies/One Way playing in snow behind the house.

Happy New Year

Yes, it is a little late, I'm aware of that.

We had a great time in Prescott AZ with Gramps and Sandee from Dec. 24-28, and we also had a great time at home with One Way's family for New Year's Eve.

Here are some of the pictures from Prescott:

First morning there, One Way made a fertada. It was delish!

Then Gramps made his Soda Bread (Are you catching on to this on-going theme about our trip to Arizona?)

We then saw the gingerbread houses at the casino. Before this picture was shot, I got my fill of casinos. Having never been to one, I wanted to walk through the casino floor. Trust me, not as glamorous as you may imagine. Darn you Hollywood for putting a false light on casinos!

Then it was time to open gifts. Please note the irony in the following picture :)

On tour about Prescott

We went to the town of Jerome.

Video of Gramps making his famous Soda Bread

That's it for today. I'll add more later.

Buttercup says "Hay"

New camcorder!

So got a new camcorder with some of my birthday cash. I haven't caught many priceless moments yet ... but I'm sure I will. Here are my first two videos with it.

It was torrential down-pouring with a tornado watch on Thursday, so I couldn't take the dogs for a proper walk. Here they are on the treadmill:

Better late than never

My birthday was about two weeks ago (Sunday) and I wanted to share what I did that day.

One Way had 24-hour duty the night before, so he didn't come home until 9 a.m., which gave me a relaxing morning alone.

When he came home, we went for a hike with the puppies:

Uncle Devo was in town and we went over the illustrious Golf Farms where the slogan is "We grow great swings":

Then I returned home for a romantic candlelit dinner! Thanks for all the presents and cards everyone!!! I'm glad to be a quarter of a century old!

What I do

I know I've told everyone a few times what I do. But I figured I'd let you see the new re-designed Web site for one of my publications, This Week. It is still a work in progress, but here it is: www.thisweekmag.com

Also, you can click to download the entire publication to see what it would look like in print. It isn't much, but I work hard at it (and don't forget I have another publication, Coastal Living Real Estate, and I write features for the B-section of the paper). Here's that Web site: www.carteretnewstimes.com

And what does One Way do? He goes on cruises ... phhhfff!
