Miss Jenny and I do Aiken

Last Saturday, while One Way and I visited Columbia, Miss Jenny and I took an excursion to Aiken, horse capitol of South Carolina (with Camden nipping at its title). To me, it was home. So nice to see that other people walk around in jodphurs and half chaps while grabbing lunch – and so nice to see that no one looked at them sideways!

Our first stop was a tack store, since Miss Jenny has figured out that the only way to get me to shop is to make it horse related (very sneaky! But I'm on to you!). Haven't seen one of those in nearly six months so I picked up some needed provisions.

We tried to get some deals at a nearby thrift store, but it came up short.

After that, we went to a wonderful little restaurant and I ordered the best rueben I've had in quite some time! Very delicious.

While at an antique store (also, somewhat horse related since I'm not known for my antiquing prowess), we discovered a polo match playing just outside of town, and we promptly drove over to watch.

It was my and Miss Jenny's first polo match, and we learned quite a bit. But by far, Miss Jenny's favorite part of the afternoon out was embodying Julia Roberts' character in "Pretty Woman:"
