When hens crow ...

It's a bit like "When pigs fly." They don't. And we have a "hen" that has begun to crow, which means we have a rooster!

Considering roosters are loud and unnecessary for a home flock, I urged One Way to make a certain bird Sunday dinner, but he said we'll just trade the rooster out for a hen with the resident chicken man down the street.

However, at this point, we aren't sure which one is the rooster ... I suspect it's Rose (Roy) the Rhode Island Red. But I'm waiting for confirmation of seeing the crow first hand before jumping to conclusions.
